I love when a room erupts as they are putting the ‘stuff’ into a scribble. Instead of bottling or brooding you put it somewhere so that you can see it, understand it and work out what to do with it. What a blast at Local Government Professional Women’s Network conference where we did exactly that.
I was very fortunate to share some wisdom about the mental load and create space for some expression as well as hear from two incredible speakers when I spoke at the LG Professionals SA Women’s Network conference on Friday morning.
Carly Findlay OAM had so many valuable tips on connecting through accessibility and inclusion – I couldve listened all day with so many shifts to make in our spaces, work and being.
We talk about connection, story telling and vulnerability in leadership and Steph Paprzycki-Baker shared so openly with authenticity, honesty and highlighting that our humanness and understanding are keys to supporting relationships with self and others. I love that you started by sharing your art work and your humour and truth were absolutely captivating.
Thank you Megan Down, Megan Hay, Rhiannon Grebenshikoff and team for supporting the Women’s network and helping with the smooth transition of art supplies to 270 people. I could feel the appreciation, connection and value in bringing everyone together.
