The sticky tape was pointed out when the group were sharing about their creation last week.
A team that has had a lot of disruption and change had time to acknowledge and reset.
They do amazing work to support the community and while they love their job and get so much meaning from it the ‘building’ was unstable and collapsed easily.
After some foundations being reinforced it was more solid, the hearts were put at the centre and a new structure was built to move forward. The sticky tape – while it wasn’t needed all the time, it was there to reenforce, repair and help things stay together.
This is how metaphor can help process, move through and bond a team that’s had it pretty tough recently – and the best thing is the open conversations, laughter, connection and hope that fills the room.
“What they loved the most was they way you weaved a message into the day – yet kept it interactive, fun and not too heavy. I loved how you delivered exactly what they needed!”
