There was an a metaphor in todays ‘whats on your plate’ workshop at Flinders University that speaks to our humanness. A participant represented life as a boat on the sea – where sometimes it’s rough and other times smooth sailing. They reflected on the sharks that were in the water when looking at how to navigate everything – they decided that they were necessary as they recognised not everything goes to plan, mistakes can be made and these sharks are necessary for learning, resilience and moving forward. The reality of life, our experiences and the polarities all sitting together in this thing called life.
I love how symbolism and metaphor can say so much.
