There is something very unique that happens when people come together, have real conversations, explore what’s happening, and genuinely connect. You can see it in this pic.
A remarkable morning yesterday where small and family business leaders spent some time exploring challenges, self confidence, values, communication, boundaries and the importance of looking after themselves
There were so many comments about how valuable it was to spend time together, the sharing of strategies (planning parties are a thing now!) and the importance of pushing pause rather than being in the doing all the time.
It is always a good sign when time disappears and its challenging to get people to stop sharing with one another.
While there is some content covered, it is the connection and normalising experiences that are the most beneficial parts of the Office for Small and Family Business mental health and wellbeing program.
Thank you to Brian Jackway and Mount Barker District Council for hosting at the magnificent Laratinga Pavillion, we look forward to facilitating some more sessions in the new year.
