Spinning Plates

April 9, 2024

“It was more about what I will not do. Take on less stuff.” I love this response in the evaluations from our first masterclass as part of our partnership with the Office for Small and Family Business Mental Health and Wellbeing Program.

Being a leader in business can mean there is lots of spinning plates to take care of and often the attention is on keeping everything running and your own wellbeing strategies can suffer. This is why this program is important.
There was overwhelming feedback that it can be lonely in business and connecting with others was so valuable, one participant form a large family business said “I thought I was here to get strategies for my staff but I have realised I need it too”.
Fabulous tools were shared from Amanda Goodfellow from Agile Mind, the benefits of nature and using the senses were certainly a highlight. I am looking forward to delivering the series of workshops where you will spend some time looking after your wellbeing, adding to the toolbox in how to support your staff with their mental health, and connect with others that ‘get it’
