I jumped on the Wicked train this week and went to the cinema to see if all the hype was warranted.
It absolutely was!
My measure of a great movie is when you come away and are still thinking about it days later – there were so many themes and layers that my head has been buzzing all week.
Embracing, supporting, and creating safe spaces for people to communicate, share and embrace their differences, authenticity, and uniqueness are common themes in my work. Still, it’s unusual to see it represented in the wider world.
Not only does Wicked shine a light on what happens when we hide our differences it also addresses how challenging it can be when others are threatened by the things that make us unique.
Here’s the thing….. in my experience, the things we’ve learnt to hide or fit in a safe little box are often the very things that ignite new ideas, offer creative solutions, bring new perspectives, and new possibilities and generate new, exciting ways of doing business.
I would love to know what unique part of yourself you’re curious about embracing and what’s stopping you from putting it out into the world.
Here’s to a great week being open to new possibilities.
